I was one of the poor simps who stood in the freezing cold at 27R.
I watched her queue up , number 4 for landing, only for my mate to say, "why is it going the wrong way?" Sure enough, over she goes to 27L.

Okay I thought, wake turbulence, security issues, traffic issues - I could go with any of those reasons. I have watched enough a/c pull a left turn and line up on 27L when 27R is being used as the landing.
But what I couldn't stomach was the decision to let her depart on 27L as well. After 3 hours of standing there waithing for her to go up, I thought I deserved a bit more of a looksie.
But no, ATC had cleared a space for her in the landing pattern, and off she goes, from 27L.
Talk about a day gone wrong
