Heathrow is a civil aerodrome - why have the military guard it? Why not have the plods mooching around the terminal with HKs or whatever take a walk around the grounds?
The first unwashed lout shot either accidentally or deliberately by HM Forces at LHR would make the de Menezes incident look trivial.
