Something similar was discussed recently about formulae.
By yourself a small notebook (A6, pocket-sized) and when you go through your notes, write down all the useful mnemonics and formulae etc that you find. Then you'll have them all in one place!
I did this and may well publish mine as there does seem to be a demand!
