Paarmo - what a rant! Last time a looked DTVE/EGNV/MME was owned by a private company and was not an instrument of government, so don't see the comparison to taxes. They should be looking to maximise profit and not achieve any wider social or economic objectives (such as being nasty to rich people?) - if the market can bare the increases then fine, but if they are detering users who would otherwise be contributing to costs of running the place, seems like a bad move (the arguement put forward at Newcastle was that GA was getting in the way of their airline customers - doubt whether that is the case at MME).
Oh, and I would imagine that anybody who knows that the IATA code for the airport formerly known as Teesside is MME is also sufficiently clued up to know that the ICAO code is EGNV.
