Different seasons bring different passenger types too - Palma's, Valencia's, Alicante's are quieter during the winter for sure, but the many daily flights to Geneva for example (3-4 from Bristol alone) during winter, are chock a block with skiers.
Load factor has been better this winter because of some very competitive seat sales aswell...
