I can tell you (this is not a rumour) that bmibaby had planned to put a further 2 aircraft into Cardiff. This is now under review because of poor management of Cardiff Airport.
The management at Cardiff Airport have acted in such a manner that it cannot be guaranteed that they may duplicate their errors in the future. The duplication of routes is unsustainable at regional Airports such as Cardiff. Competition on routes is good for everybody however, putting jobs and business's at risk due to lack of insight is reckless. Additional routes are welcomed, duplication on such a scale is negligent.
Maybe the Cardiff management would like to respond?
