Why 100 kts ?
Plenty of LAA aircraft on permits ( Pioneer 300, MCR01 etc ) which are a lot faster than 100 kts , and can prove to be very reasonable to run (~15 litres/hour) and have the benefit of getting into all those delightful grass strips ..........
