The original aircraft (G-SJET) dates from 1986 and its technical gripes have been well reported in the past.
The two ex TOM aircraft in service date from 1990 (the next two are from 1991) However, these four aircraft despite high utilisation have been well looked after from new and are likely to be in much better condition than many aircraft of a similar age which have been operated by a variety of airlines.
In addition, virtually all the Engineers looking after the Silverjet a/c are ex TOM (so they should have some idea what they are doing!)
