Brian Moore’s comment was (typically) well out of line; the wait for the FJs’ appearance was noticeably shorter than the time the English team were made to stand in the rain before the Scots XV decided to turn up.

Another thought, was the ETA for the F3s’ flyby messed about by the late finish of the Dublin game, where the timing went by the board completely. The “glad handing” of the teams & officials by Mary McAleese and the performance of both Irish anthems delayed kick-off by a little over 10 minutes .
