2. I suggest you talk to CASA or Jetstar about what you require to do to renew or otherwise validate your rating before joining Jetstar. Once in Jetstar, you get one transfer of aircraft type and one command free of charge, after that, as described in the first post.
3. Can't really speculate, too many variables, especially with direct entry Captains involved. It also depends upon who you know (AN is a help here) and how much experience you have. Pick a number between 1 and 10 years. If you have no jet time and little total time, you'll be bypassed.
