A quick word of advice about BP medication.
Side effects are a hazard and finding one that works for the individual can take some time. Some can cause headaches, others loss of sex drive and so on. Different ones have different effects on different people. Atenolol gave me the Mother of all Headaches! Doc put me on Sectral (Acebutalol) which gives me personally no side effects whatever yet brought me down from 160/95 to 130/75. It may take a while to find one that works for you and it may be best not to fly until you sort out the right medication. Anyway, Good Luck with your health and I hope you get sorted out quickly.
