I was at the meeting for the part where Peter Willis was talking. I am sad to report there was a lot of negativity and scant support for airport development. There was some concern that Jet2 aircraft were too noisy, road access was inadequate and fuel residue being an issue on Victoria Avenue. Not sure what that meant. In Peter Willis' favour, he did his best to field some questions which weren't really his area, specifically concerning road access and he did speak for over an hour so fair play there.
Needless to say the NIMBYS and tree-huggers threw in their two pen'orth but as I don't support them I shall say no more, suffice to say you would think from the general tone of the meeting that Leeds Bradford was the only airport in the world to have expansion plans.
