Yes,because the airport must provide a fire training rig to the size of the largest a/c operating 767.Should see Heathrows!
Also the carbon foot print is reduced.The new rig is gas burning,far cleaner to burn rather than smelly black liquid fuel.Good public relations with Rhoose.
With this new facility,various companys are looking to training at the airport which will generate money ie RAF,South Wales fire service.
Totally agree the money could have been used in the terminal,seems the law comes first here,but surely they should have planned to finish departures before they started?
