Today's Aeroflot (international) services are unrecognizable from those in the 1990's. I've travelled from Frankfurt to Moscow with Aeroflot on a number of occasions and they are absolutely fine, they appear to be using modern A319/320 equipment and their business class service was more than acceptable.
However, Aeroflot domestic services may be different and I would do a lot more research before using them for such a route.
