There are alot of big companies, mostly state airlines where FOs have to wait in around 10 years for and upgrade to the LHS, these pilots are flying widebody jets. My question is do these guys have a good chance of finding jobs else where, when your CV looks like this 4000 TT 3000 JET 100PIC..

I would also like to know how airlines look at this. Also, how do airlines in Europe look at this.

Say I have flown for 2 years on a Turbo-prop like a Dash-8 as an F/O and accumulate 1700 turboprop time , are my chances at getting a job with a LoCo or a major OK? Or would I need the PIC time, much like the majors like to see in the U.S?
There are two kinds of LoCos.

1. The big ones, they are usually looking for type rated pilots. Generally speaking all of the LOCOs are looking for type rated pilots, but

2. There are still a few companies where you can get a job without type rating and in such a company your experience will be advantage.

Majors are usually looking for: "Experience commensurate with age". That`s true.
