As one parent to another, I can really relate to that story. We do bowling parties for our offspring this side of the Atlantic, too. I kind of enjoyed them when they were small, but I can leave it alone now.

I started giving all 3 of mine rides when they were just big enough to see out. Now I've got an instructor rating, I'm teaching my 15-yr-old to fly, great! I recently did a trip with both my sons, the elder flew there and the younger flew back. We call that kind of trip the £100 hamburger, but it was priceless to me.

You might just want to work on the instructor thing, don't know if it's done in the States but I've a couple of friends who have taught their children. I couldn't possibly teach them to drive, but flying's different, somehow.
