I have no figures to back up Windsheers statistics but I would say that yes it is a greater percentage than the statistics seem to show. Telling when Bristol had to close for a few days last year were the number of Welsh people flying out of Bristol.
One suspects that if Cardiff had the management team that Bristol had at the end of the 1990s onwards instead of Bristol things could have been very different.
One also wonders if CWL management hide behind the poor links to Cardiff airport too readily to explain passenger figures as well. The public transport is appalling and shameful and not linked to any peak times at the airport either. No doubt we shall be told that is down to the rail companies and bus companies, well CWL sort it out then subsidise your own bus service that gives links at peak times every 20 minutes or so.
