Te Kowhai is a well formed grass runway now about 700m long. They even have an above ground BP Fuel bowser there now and heaps of hangarage and a pilots lounge... http://aip.net.nz/pdf/NZTE.pdf
Great little aerodrome (except when Max plants watermellons and pumpkin immediately next to the runway!!)
Max looked pretty spritely when I saw him at SportAvex last weekend??
