A missive from the company tells me that the latest FMC sends the Flight number entered on the Route page to ATC. For Captain SandL - or anyone - how is this done, what else is sent and what other info is passed via Mode S please? I got lost in Google with Mode S looking for a 'simple' pilot's explanation
