PW,

I think you're a bit quick off the mark with that information. I have a friend in Douala who tells me that although CHC have financial problems there they haven't yet pulled the plug. He does admit though, that he's considering other options, including Nigeria! With our 225s due to arrive soon, we'll need more pilots anyway. I'm told that the delay on the Agbami contract is due to internal politics within NNPC, but the rumor is that we'll certainly be getting the S76 part of it (and possibly more). Bristow will have a problem if they get it as they have pilots leaving, NAF Base apparently running down and I haven't heard of anyone going to do any S92 courses yet. With the well-publicised gearbox and engine failure problems on the S92 it may not be the best aircraft for the job for now. Sikorsky will undoubtedly sort out the problems, as they did on the S61 and the S76, but it doesn't help on contracts being bid for at the moment.
