For Sure,if you've got float experience that opens a lot more opportunity.Were you flying out of Cairns?I used to fly floats out of Fiji and really enjoyed it.If you have 1000pic on otters (or even 500) in saltwater try Harbour Air, or West Coast Air (Vancouver,BC) or really where ever you want to work in canada on floats. There is a shortage of experienced seaplane/float drivers.
Also Pacific Coastal Arlines has a float division out Port Hardy (5Gooses,3 Amphib Beavers) that they are hiring for the busy summer season
