Leeds Approach
The Inverness link from Leeds/Bradford is an onward flight from Southampton. But with Flybe going to offer a direct service from Southampton, Eastern must think that there is not enough demand to justify operating a service originating just from Leeds.
And how the hell Flybe plan on uplifting 80 pax from Southampton to Inverness I do not know. Ryanair tried to fill a B737 and failed, even with their low fares from Liverpool.
All this is just spoiling tactics from Flybe jumping on other peoples routes because they do not have a clue where to put all these shiny new Dash 8's
But do bear in mind that Eastern are not walking away from the threat of Flybe as they have just increased the Leeds to Southampton to 4 daily monday to friday utilising the Inverness aircraft.
