Indonesian Ebtanas and STTB SMP are indeed equivalent to GCE O Level.. There is no need to convert the grades, but it is advisable to produce the certified copy of the translation in English, and put a note that those grades are based on the scale of 1 to 10. It worked for me...

Meeting the minimum standard doesn't grant you an interview. There are other factors that put into the selection, such as ECA records, work experience, etc.. However you can always re-submit your application.. I'm not sure how the new computerized system works, but one of my coursemates applied 6 times before he was called for an interview.
