I am sorry Groundhog but there is no such thing as a good monopoly. Do you not remember the days before telecommunications were privatised ? Telephone calls were expensive and it took 6 to 9 months to get a telephone fitted in your home. I could give further examples including BEA and BOAC who were the forerunners of BA. Monopolies raise prices and reduce service EVERY time.
