Engine failure at night (Unaided)

[before landing check list]

1. Lower collective, establish autorotational descent.
2. Airspeed adjust.
3. Aircraft in trim.
4. Rotor RPM, maintain in normal operating range.
5. Aircraft in trim.

During autorotational descent, check engine instruments to verify actual failure.

6. At approximately 200' AGL, turn on landing light.
