i am in the business for quite long and i do confirm what algazal wrote; most of them are 2 stars hotels located at the airport with few exceptions. Most airlines give you breakfast and when not they give you 3 time what etihad considers a food allowance;
when you speak to outstation managers (who knows their business) they can find much better location, hotel, including breakfast and stay in the budget; but ey refuse because they have their ego or bribes to satisfy
