Latest rumour is that EI are reconsidering ORK-WAW in the light of Centralwings decision. CAA need to keep talking to customers particularly overseas airlines for whom Cork Airport is only a dot on the map.
Thats some good news at least but they don't have any room in the summer timetable unless they axe something else, they could operate a nighttime flight after the Amsterdam. It arrives at 21.20 so if say it left at 22.30 it could be back for 5.30, before perhaps operating the Malaga flight at 7.00. This would only be needed for the summer since there is room in the winter timetable. Or maybe they'll base a fifth aircraft at Cork (I think theres an A320 due in June) and operate flights to Warsaw, Budapest and a few new routes?
