Kitbag's Challenge...
Perhaps the Seversky P-35A?

Edit: Actually, I now note that the P-35A is on Mel's list from January 2006. Good challenge nonetheless! I'm basing my guess on a USAF Museum photo (different view) and the museum has let me down before. Even so, I think I'll stick with my original identification....and perhaps repent later.
