BOHEuropean - I can endorse your rumour. I have also heard from a good source that easyJet are considering the base launch to be brought forward after Ryanair's surprise basing of only one aircraft. easyJet see this is a good opportunity to go in bigger. The airport and easyJet are working as we speak because capacity of the airport is not ideal for what easyJet want to do, and the airport can't fix it quickly enough. There may be a desire to expediate the launch of the base but the route network may be limited due airport constraints. Work on the airport arrivals hall should help... but this is postponed at the moment due New Forest issues. Krakow has performed well, Geneva exceptionally well, and Grenoble less successful. This has not put them off on other route development. Lets watch this space. But it will be a welcome boost to the airport.
