An excellent opportunity for those people. I'm slightly sad to read that all the lucky recipients on that list appear to be highly academic, house prefects etc. There are lot's of jobs in Aviation that do not require that level of educational brilliance, it seems a shame that they cannot benefit from a flight training opportunity such as this. (How many RAF scholarship winners go on to become Pilot's? very few I suspect, but I bet they all benefited from it in whatever Aviation field they may have ended up)

P.S it's also worthwhile applying to the 'Air League', they seem to be a bit more practical with regard awarding scholarships and bursaries, well I got one so they must be!
