Having seen the damage first hand as we taxied past, all I can say is WOW. For there to be survivors in a situation like that, let alone everyone safe, is true testament to the skill of those operating - in lesser minds and hands this would be a tradgedy.
I found it particularly amusing however, when we taxied past, the absolute silence in the cabin. A number or pax in front of us then began praying, most were quickly going for the safety card or eyeing their exits in between their gawking out the window (this just moments prior to take off).
The amusing thing about it? Well the family that were standing up walking around on final approach continually ignoring pleas from cabin crew to sit down immediately, were the very same ones praying and desperately looking around for exits/studying their cards... How quickly lessons can be forgotten!
