that being said lets say you do a ulh to iah and back total 32 hrs..your butt in seat 12hrs.. only 12 hrs count towards flight time/legal limitations so they can still fly you 89 more hrs for the month?
On a ULR flight, you would be planned as the
Operating crew on one leg and the
Augmenting crew on the other. You log the full block time of the sector when you are planned as the
operating crew..even the time in the bunk. This will also count towards your monthly and yearly limits.
However on the leg where you are considered to be the
augmenting crew, you will log only the time on the seat and only this time will count towards your regulatory limits.
So IAH back..32 hr total block..if sector times were equal there and back, you'd have been considered to have flown approx 24 hours but paid for 32 hours.
