When you "tick the box" to remember usernames and passwords, they are stored as Cookies on your PC.
Have you recently:
- Changed security settings in your browser to block cookies?
- Manually deleted cookies?
- Installed any anti-spyware or similar software that could now be deleting cookies for you?
