Hey 'jaba' don't forget the 'mum & dad QF investors, they'll want to see a return on their monies, afterall QF is a public Co. not just for the employees. Don't let the accountants handle the purse strings, sheeeez see what most drive thses days?
When yr at the head of QF handing out cigars & pay rise to the troops (we all would do the same anyway) it means you have less in the kitty for the true owners of the airline
. If QF could buy back all it's shares then you can go crazy & give the A/C toilet cleaners a $200 pw rise, heavens knows they deserve it, what a job !
As for the engineers?.........well there ain't enough money for those guys/gals, without them the A/C would only make good cubby houses !
Anyway whom ever takes the controls we can only hope for a better end result, they couldn't do much worse than the current management!
