I do KNOW it is not exactly the same thing
but it reminds me of AN Airline I was at around 20 years ago, everything was running so smoothly with the new computerised check ins etc, until one day all the computers went down Nationwide.
The flight delays were massive because hardly anyone remembered how to do it the old manual way or weren't even there when it was all done manually.
