For the the love of GOD!!!. You need a timepiece that works, that is easy to read and if flying at night one that glows in the dark at all times. If you fly in multiple Time Zones it is nice to have one that has Universal Time on it as well. (Not to mention those early morning flights while talking to the weather man and you can't add/ subtract that fast!
) An alarm is also handy if you travel alot, live in the bush and have a tendency to work where electricity is not readily available.

). Lap times (just in case the one in the machine just craps out). Alarm. and a little patch of velcro underneath the face to put it on the knee/chest of my flight suit when the clock in your machine does crap out...it will!. Price=65$ Can. That was when we were worth 65c American.
You have enough dials in front of you as it is...why complicate matters?
