Kiltie mate
calling the crewing dept idiots? your words not mine. perhaps this isnt fair after all. They can only work with what they have got, the training dept cant train people fast enoughas people are leaving
most ofthe comments you have made have all ended with "open to debate" and most good people have debated these facts, you must be management mate or a newly promoted base captain.
Here are some facts for you mate:
no other person has come back and have said what a great pension deal!
We love being called up at 5am in the morning on days off.
25p a mile hasnt been changed since 2002.
The last pay increase to all flight crew was just below the cost of living index - didnt even match this!
The reason why you cant get flights crewed and there so much disruption, is for the fact that people are leaving all the time, on to bigger and better things. People will not stay if the terms and conditions are not right, which the management will find out soon enough.
You say that there are a few whingers and skivers in the ranks, well this maybe because they are all sick of being messed about, being shafted, last min roster changes, no crew food, 4 weeks sick pay, constantly away from home, broken promises of improvements, oh and not forgetting that huge 25p a mile.
you also pointed out about dual basing (which has been resolved) there was never an arrangement in place, it was "just expected" with no crew imput!
Its so bad mate, the list is endless, even the chap from BA has hung his hat up and has now left.............mmmmmm maybe all the good people are trying to tell the ivory tower something
