You want thoughts GMIMA...........

Give it a rest. Your Eastern slagging campaign across these forums is becoming rather tiresome. You don't work for Eastern Airways any more so if your partner or ex-colleague want to voice their objections get them to do so under their own user names.

There are precious few ex BRAL pilots working for Eastern contrary to what one poster suggests. Out of interest GMIMA, what is your association with your user name? I don't ever remember flying with you on G-MIMA.

Eastern do provide a stakeholder pension facility which complies with EU law. The company does not make a contribution which is open to debate.

Brian does not drive an Aston Martin.

Calling the Crewing dept. "idiots" is childish and offensive. If you weren't so narrow minded you would understand that roster disruption is a necessary evil of the industry, although to what extent is open to discussion. A Crewing Dept. merely process the resources given to them by those who recruit and train the pilots and cabin crew in the first place. If the resources are low then the Crewing Dept. have less resources to use hence more disruption is inevitable. Disruption is also caused by many other factors such as a surge in charter sales or crew sickness.

The self-drive variation to their FTL scheme is approved by the CAA with appropriate limitations and is not unique to Eastern Airways. Two of the other companies I have worked for have had this same variation, and both also had dual-base arrangements.

The 25p per mile allowance is again open to debate, but there really is no issue here as hire cars are provided by Eastern so crew using their own cars is always by their own choice.

Perhaps your own information would be best put to use having a go at your own employers rather than your ex employers, and leave the Eastern slagging to the few professional whingers and skivers this company is still blighted by.
