Take the advice! Take a job with the real airline down the road but if you must come initially keep your family at home until you have dealt with the housing dept directly, this will take the pressure off you while you try and find something acceptable for your family, housing is a REAL problem in Abu Dhabi due to very poor forward planning, good luck!!
