I don't think the management is being negligent towards the full service carriers, don't forget that until the low-cost carriers came to EMA, the airport had a very successful full service route network operated by BMI. It was BMI's decision to create its own low-cost airline to compete with Go/Easyjet and Ryanair that effectively dismantled this network almost overnight.

I agree completely that what EMA needs is more connections to major European hubs, and perhaps KLM or BMI Regional could provide this to AMS and FRA, to link up with their respective alliance partners. The fact is though, that these routes are now only a small part of EMA's business, and the low-cost sector is now so dominant, that it seems that is how it will remain.
