Pressemelding fra PEA:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, January 2008

PHOENIX EAST AVIATION ADDS TO PRO TRAINING FLEET

Daytona Beach, Florida, USA –- Phoenix East Aviation, Inc. (PEA) announces the planned expansion of their training fleet with the order of ten new Cessna C-162 Skycatcher aircraft. These advanced single-engine aircraft will further enhance the academy’s training fleet and provide students with better preparation for careers as professional pilots.

The Cessna model C-162 is an all-metal, single engine piston, high wing monoplane with two person seating. Scheduled for delivery next year, the 162 will be equipped per FAR 91.205 to meet both day and night VFR flight requirements.

The Skycatcher was designed to be built in compliance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards for Light Sport Aircraft.

A single Garmin G300 display will provide primary flight and engine information in a split screen format. The aircraft will be powered by a Teledyne Continental Motors

O-200D engine, a air-cooled, four cylinder, direct drive engine that produced a maximum of 100 brake horsepower at 2,750 RPM. The flight controls will consist of dual control sticks, providing movement to the ailerons and elevator.
