Is that the aerodrome that used to be called Leicester East? (Oadby??) That was part of my grand tour (by bike) in 1966, that particular day I started off from Grantham, visited Rearsby, then Leicester East, then up to Nottingham/Tollerton before cycling back to the youth hostel at Grantham. Grand day that was, the folks at Leicester and Tollerton were friendly (to a 17 year old anorak) and I cycled between the two in an hour which was bloody quick.
