I've flown there for the last few summer hols and will be doing so again next summer. As far as I know though they are not a JAA centre. All of their a/c are quite new and in very good condition. The nice thing about Orlando is that you're not far from east or west coast. Last year I did a bit of training on the G1000 which was good fun. A few nice short trips (all around an hour) are Lakelands, Vero Beach, Pilot Country, there's any amount of them. If your comming back from the west coast get your instructor to request vectors for an ILS approach. There's a good chance that ATC will route you over Disney which is normally a prohibited airspace but interesting to see from the air.
