I dont know of anyother company that makes its pilots/cabin crew drive 2-4 hours to get to another base, the other airlines I have worked for have always provided hallmark mercs/minibuses for crew positioning, its just another attempt at penny pinching.
There was a hostie who crashed her hire car, because of completing several early duties and was then told to position to Norwich from leeds after starting at 0600 and finished 1400, then a 3 hr drive, lucky she never got killed! I would never risk myself for any airline.
Perhaps as a token jesture, ricky and brain could position there crew in those rather super aston martins they drive!
