I to was considering the raf and decided that i didnt fancy dying fro my country as i didnt agree with what they were doing in the first place! After eseartch i went for the ctc route and am currently waiting for my stage 3 on the 16th January (not long oh the nerves).
The repayments are pretty straight forward.
You give them £60,000
Once you have recieved employment from one of the airlines you are started on a reduced salary because they have invested all their time and money to train you (i think its about 26k a year). Now ON TOP of this salary you will receive £1,000 a month for 7 years. This amounts to £84,000 which is the £60,000 you took out as a loan plus the interest you gained along the way...
Hope this helps. I had to do a lot of research and printouts to show my parents to convince them! no one in my family is in the aviation industry and it took a while to convince!
