Introduction

Hi Guys. Im new to pprune and was just looking for some advice. Like all of you im sure, being a pilot is a dream of mine ive had since i can remember. I finished university in july, moved to london and worked for a recruitment firm specialising in defence. Here i spoke to many raf pilots and it made me think, why the hell am i in london working here and not going for my dream?! So i left london with the intention to join the raf. However after some research into sponsorship i realised this would be a much faster way, and alot less chance of dying..! to becomming a commercial pilot. I have passed stage 1 and am looking to book a stage 2 session. I have read through alot of this forum and the previous forum and have everything i feel i need to put my best forward in stage 2. My big question though.. which is also the parents biggest concern.. is the finances. The way i got onto ctc was through the easyjet website. They stated that after completing the training they would pay you back £1,000 every month for 7 years to pay of your loan. However i have seen the post of one of the pilots bank statements who has had over £1,000 comming out of his account every month. I was wondering if the £1,000 they pay you is ontop of your basic salary or not? Just basically a run down on how the repayments work! Sorry about the long post and i wish everyone out there who is applying, in stage interviews or out in NZ the best of luck!

Thanks... Tom.
