Whilst I agree with your comments, I cannot see a quick re-opening of the drop off area. All those extra £2.10s make the parking a useful profit centre.... and it helps give a so called 'green image' by making car drivers pay. If we all used public transport (by that I mean buses, as the aeroplane is technically public transport) where would the airport make its money?
