D. B. Cooper: What Really Happened by Max Gunther
I picked up this book about twenty years ago and it tells a believable story that DBC was injured on landing and found shelter at a cabin where a lady took him in and they became a couple. He died of natural causes several years later.
Likely the FBI knows about the book and his companion. They could exhume for a DNA sample.
