There are not 'cranes everywhere'. It's true that hoardings are up and a lot of the old huts have been cleared but look carefully next time. The old shell building is still in use in the middle of the new arrivals hall site, no construction work has happened since early november, the only work going on is some minor tidying up etc. Car parking is being extended and soon the area that was the aviation museum will be turned into car park,not the original plan.
The next based aircraft from either Easyjet or Ryanair isn't due until next November.The airport thus has time to renegotiate building contracts to get a better deal for their money- so you won't see any building work until well towards next spring- not the optimistic plan that was published in the summer!
