Has anybody got any news on when & what airlines are recruiting. Looking for my first job. I have about 1500 instructing hrs. Have applied to Flybe, easyJet etc...still waiting...
Went to recent BALPA conference and all airlines seem gloomy on recruitment side this year. Impression at BALPA conference in 2006 was most airlines were on serious recruitment drive.. but seems like have missed the boat...
Has anybody got inside info speaking to TRE/TRI's for when their airlines may get new aircraft so they may look to recruit a group of new F/O's to run type rating courses rather than recruit experienced pilots with current type ratings for attrition, i.e: no acquisition of new aircraft.
The big BMI cock up with regards to losing some of their aircraft orders for the foreseeable future does not help as mentioned in another thread..
All help and advice would help from pilots knowing any future recruitment plans for their airlines.
